Anchors & Pins
U-Bolt-It fasteners are multipurpose connectors used to mechanically attach two or more objects together. These are typically used to create non-permanent joints. On the other hand, our anchors and anchoring pins attach an item to another object like a hollow wall or concrete slab. We have a large inventory of anchors, anchoring pins, lag screw shield, nail-in anchors, sleeve anchors, drop-in anchors, expansion shield anchors, wedge anchors, dowel pins, spring pins, and spiral pins to provide support and stability to your project in circumstances wherever reinforcement is required. Contact us directly to discuss your specific needs for anchors or anchoring pins.
U-Bolt-It lag screw shield anchors are used for fastening lag screws into wood, concrete and masonry material. Lag screw shields can be used to reduce drilling time in concrete and mortar joints of block or brick walls. Our lag screws expand the lag shield anchor when the screw threads are engaged during installation and are made to handle heavy loads as well as secure larger pieces of wood together. Our sleeve anchors are highly versatile fasteners that can be used for a variety of light to medium-duty applications like fastening metal door frames or attaching wire to a masonry wall. Sleeve anchors also can be used for installing drywall.
Generally speaking, nails and screws were not designed for use in drywall, paneling or tile, as they can easily slip without the installation of an anchor. In light-weight applications, you can use pilot holes and insert nail-in anchors with a few hammer taps. Drop-in anchors are intended for use in solid concrete. Also known as flush anchors, the female concrete anchor is inserted into pre-drilled holes bolts that need to be inserted but removable. Drop-in metal anchors provide a stronger attachment solution. U-Bolt-It wedge anchors into a pre-drilled hole and the nut expands the wedge during tightening.
Metal dowel pins are used in many industrial application to align, join and prevent the movement of an assembly. This includes uses, such as pivots, shafts or hinges. Dowel anchor pins can be coated to increase their resistance to rust or corrosion. Sometimes called lock pins, these headless cylindrical metal rods can be machine to specific tolerances to reduce joint deflection. Spring anchor pins have an elastic nature that allows them to fit into holes without reaming and do not damage the host material. Our spiral anchor pins can be used to secure lightweight objects to an external wall or structural steel and help prevent shifting.
